Today we presented our POL. I have to admit that I just took a huge amount of weight out of my back. Once again, my presentation was about "Financial Literacy" in Lima, Peru and connecting it with the theme of Awareness.
Our "Presentation Of Learning" (POL) was developed in the little theater, a small room with a triangular stage; it has a capacity of about 100 people. During my presentation some classes of 10th graders came to watch and I got a little nervous. I have to admit that my school strength is presenting, but this time it was a little different.
This presentation was in partners so we had to divide the information and slides and try to create connections between us. Even though this was a great challenge we accomplished it well and created a balanced presentation. Continuing, my mother came to watch my presentation, she always does and I really thank her for her support but I don't know what happened to me that I got a sense of nerves when I saw her since I am at an important "school-stage" of my life. The small amount of nerves made me forget some words, so my vocabulary richness didn't exceed the class expectations.

I am proud to say that the time and effort that we demanded to our Keynote presentation full filed our expectations. The class comments where all positive in regard to our media and the outside specters also gave us positive comments. I personally think that this was one of our strengths. We still have to place some english subtitles on our documentary since the foreign language in Peru is spanish. We also got positive comments on our introduction and how we connected it well with the anecdote of "Enrique Diaz" and the "Anonymous Carsa Girl".
The audience understood our topic (Financial Literacy) and said that the media that we placed on our presentation was purposeful. We had a lot of visuals that made the presentation interesting since our topic was difficult to understand since it had challenging words and data. We had eye contact with the audience and overall our tone and fluency showed that we had practiced and put time into this project. I have to say that I am happy of being able to present a 30 minute presentation about the free topic that we chose with only one reference: relate it to economics. #innovators

Feedback
Personally:
What people told me after:
- I was nervous about presenting in front of my mother since she is very demanding.
- The little theater actually makes things look “Bigger”.
- The media was purposeful; it engaged the audience be it through the shapes, effects or just the colors.
- I spoke well, even though I forgot to mention something’s as practiced, I think that in general I spoke at a good tone and most of the time I was fluent.
- Having no notecards made me feel more professional, it gave me greater amounts of trust on myself.
- The distribution of slides between Domenico and me worked well, it showed that we had planed correctly and organized us.
- At the part of the house metaphor, I confused and said anecdote due to the nerves, but it seemed as not many people realized that, only Mr. Topf since the effects were eye catching.
- I had three people to have eye contact with specially, Martin Perez, Mr. Topf and my mom. Since I realized that my mom makes me get nervous I should change my eye contact spot.
