Hiring someone is complicated. Last week I observed the business world from the eyes of a student; I thought I knew a lot, but I didn’t. I am proud to say, that throughout the week, my business knowledge in the areas of management & employees has grown.
Everything counts when hiring an employee, not only weather you like the person or not. You have to consider every possible detail. Skills, accolades, language, age, gender, academics, everything. Before hiring someone you have to be sure that you have a type of hiring rubric, this is what we call our employees profile. I have been working on the profile for the last few days. I never imagined that creating a detailed descriptor or rubric would be so challenging, now I understand why teachers always tell their students: “Look at the rubric”. Even though the profile is in the process of creation I would like to share it with you (feel free to provide any feedback in the comments section).

Also, the process of hiring is not only hiring someone that fits for the job but you also have to keep in mind how the employee will benefit for your job. This is where every legal aspect in the government enters: Insurance, payment, enrollment, gratification, hours of work, workdays, and vacation. I am sure that companies key to success in human capital and in order to have great human capital your company needs to inform your employees correctly but most importantly share the same vision and culture with them. At the end it doesn’t matter if you are the CEO or a smoothie maker, everyone contributes and works to achieve the same final goal. Communication brings trust between people, not only in business but everywhere and trust is another key to success.
