Today was a very important day for all the innovators; we had to present our finance final stock project. Unfortunately I had been sick all weekend! I wasn’t able to sleep well, had a strong fever, I was throwing up, and felt a lot of pain in my whole body.
Water polo, the sport that I practice taught me something important: ¨If you want to be a real leader, you have to be a leader the whole day, every hour, every minute, every second; nothing can stop you.¨
I consider myself to be a leader, so I wasn’t going to let sickness stop me from presenting my final project and letting my team mates down. I decided to go do my presentation, I have to admit that I arrived late to school but I made it on time for the presentations.
During the presentation, my group was the first one to present, giving me the opportunity to surprise and catch a fresh audience with my new skill, talking.
It was my turn to present, and I was confident that I was going to make a great presentation even though there were chances that I threw up in the middle of the presentation, gratefully this didn’t happen and everything went well.
My presentation was a success and Mr. Topf (innovation academy teacher) let me go to my house early. I really appreciate my team for this, being sick in school is not something cool. I am getting to know my pears better and I think that we will have an awesome two years!
