Our class today was a little confusing. It started amazing, Harry Bliss, a very famous cartoonist came to the Innovation Academy! He showed us many of he’s art pieces and told us a little bit about him. Something that impacted me was when Mr. Topf (Innovation Academy teacher) asked Harry if he had though financially before starting he’s career as a cartoonist. Surprisingly Harry said that he had never thought in the money when choosing he’s career, this could have been an error in my life, but this is what I like so I just did what I liked, thankfully everything is going well. This shocked me because I don’t know what career I would like to study when I grow up. I always see it financially, maybe this will help me develop a career idea. Then, my business group, Broker #2 had some problems. We didn’t know whether to go for stocks or go for mutual funds. We had two strong proposals, but we all thought different so we started to discoursed and lose valuable time. After talking with Mr. Fitz (economy teacher) we agreed that mutual funds where better. This way we learned why ETF and the Stock Market were not the best option for a two year investment. After having a relatively big problem with the group in a couple of hours we were working as a united team and got things done. |
